My work as an artist uses architectural elements such as built form, city grid, mapping and composition as a source of inspiration. These pieces are part of a continuing investigation of ideas that focus on geometrical relationships, patterns and ordering principles found in architecture. I communicate these ideas abstractly, through the use of collage, layering, transparency, density and improvisation. I consider myself an artist/architect who values and incorporates the elements of traditional quiltmaking and who tries to move the definition of "work of art" beyond its previous boundaries.

My work has appeared over 50 publications and exhibitions such as Quilt National, Art Quilts at the Sedgwick, American Craft magazine, Fiber Art magazine and Surface Design magazine.
