How to join
COCA's

Who
is eligible to be listed?
Individual
artists in all disciplines (visual arts, music, theatre, dance, literature,
etc.) based within 100 miles of Tallahassee, Florida. The directory
is meant for individual artists, but small performing groups available
for hire may also be eligible.
How
much does it cost to be listed?
There
is NO CHARGE for a basic listing in the directory. Basic
listings consist of artist’s name, address, phone, fax, e-mail
address and field/discipline designations.
Member
listings (full listings) are available at no additional charge
to COCA members. Member listings include 50-word description, link to
artist’s home page, and one image. COCA
Membership is available for a $35 annual fee and includes many other
benefits. Please see our Member Page
for more information.
I
am a COCA member. Why am I not automatically listed in the directory?
Not
everyone wishes their contact information to be published online. To
protect our artists' privacy, we only list people who specifically fill
out the artist directory entry form.
How
do I submit my listing?
Sen your listing information to clint@cocanet.org. You may also print the form
and mail it to: Council on Culture and Arts, 816 S. ML King Jr. Blvd., Tallahassee, FL 32301, fax it to 850-224-2515.
How do I include an image?
You
must submit a web-ready image in either .gif or .jpg format, at resolution
of 72 dpi, no larger than 3” x 4”. Please either submit it on CD-ROM
or e-mail it to directory@cocanet.org. (If you don't know how to
make your electronic image the correct size or format, don't worry.
Just send us what you have and we'll re-format it for you.)
Can I include listings in more than one
field or discipline?
For
Basic listings: You may include additional listings in different
fields (for example, as a writer & a visual artist). You may not include
additional listings in different disciplines of the same field (for
example, as a painter & a sculptor).
For
Member listings: You may include listings in as many fields
and disciplines as are appropriate. Please note that COCA reserves the
right to limit excessive listings for any single artist.
Do I need to put anything on my website?
We
would appreciate a link back to the Council on Culture and Arts at http://www.cocanet.org.
You can download our logo at our Press
Room page.
What
if I need to update my listing?
Just
send an e-mail to clint@cocanet.org. We will be glad to accommodate
reasonable changes and updates, but please keep in mind that our staff
time is limited.
PLEASE
NOTE: COCA reserves the right to refuse to list or link to any material
we consider inappropriate for any reason.
